During the Manasarovar tour, you will visit the world’s beautiful freshwater lake, Manasarovar. It is a vast bluish-green lake flanked by two grand mountains, Mandhata lying on the South while Mount Kailash on the north. Taking a bath in this holy Manasarovar is thought to fetch salvation (Moksha) and rinse away all the awful deeds of life.

We will begin the trip sightseeing in Lhasa,  go around stunning Potala Palace as well as Norbulingka Palaces which are built in the 17th century. The famous Potala Palace will offer the view of entire city and houses various majestic state rooms, it is the personal quarters of the Dalai Lama. You will visit Norbulingka Palace, the summer fort of the Dalai Lama. Next, we will make a tour to the Tibet Museum which holds a lasting set of roughly 1000 objects related to the history of Tibet.  Also visit Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and Barkhor Bazaar.  After we will drive to see a beautiful lake, wanderers taking care of a number of yaks and sheep. You will traverse Brahmaputra River then our trail moves to a classic Chinese and Tibetan town.  After that we will reach the Saga Hotel. We will pass by Zhongba and then start moving ahead from Paryang to reach Manasarovar at Chiu Village. Take an optional bath at the sacred Lake Manasarovar.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01:  Arrival in Lhasa (3,650m)
From Nepal, we will arrive in Lhasa or via main land of China. Taking up Flight from Nepal we can get pleasure from a striking Himalayan scene. We will fly over Everest (8,848m), and other stunning peaks as well as glaciers. And choosing to fly from Lhasa by mainland China, we will fly from the main Chinese towns or take the world’s uppermost train way to Lhasa. As soon as you arrive in Lhasa, and then we wil drive to our chosen hotel in Lhasa.

Day 02:  Lhasa sightseeing
We will today begin sightseeing in Lhasa and then go around stunning Potala as well as Norbulingka Palaces which are built in the 17th century. Day 03:  Lhasa Sightseeing
After finishing our breakfast we will visit Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and Barkhor Bazaar.  Drepung Monastery built around 14th century is supposed to have protected approximately 10,000 monks in the past. Sera Monastery is another conserved monastery with white-washed walls as well as golden roofs. Similarly, we will visit Jokhang Temple, a sacred place which consists of deeper secrecy of Tibetan Buddhism. We stroll all the way through Barkhor Bazaar, the centre of Lhasa.

Day 04:  Lhasa to Gyantse (3,950m)
Today, we will drive to Gyantse. Enroute, we will go by the Khamba La Pass lying at 4,794m. Here we can see the splendor of the Yamdrok Tso (Lake) which is counted among the three major holy lakes in Tibet and the striking glacier, Nazin Kang Sang. In a little while, we come transversely through another pass, the Karo La Pass (5,045m). Before reaching Gyantse, we can get pleasure from vistas of huge glaciers falling down. In Gyantse, we make a trip to the Khumbum Stupa, Gyantse Dzong, Phalkot Monastery and more.

Day 05:  Gyantse to Shigatse (3,900m)
After breakfast, we will drive to Shigatse, the second biggest capital in Tibet. In Shigatse, we go around the admired Tashilhunpo Monastery founded by Gendun Drup who was the first Dalai Lama in 1447.

Day 06: From Shigatse to Saga
On this day, on the way, you will also see beautiful lake, wanderers taking care of number of yaks, sheep. And, in the afternoon, you will traverse Brahmaputra River then our trail moves to classic Chinese and Tibetan town. After that we will reach at the Saga Hotel, a standard and top local hotel.

Day 07: Saga to Lake Manasarovar (4750m)
Today, we will begin our trip, driving from Saga to reach Paryang taking roughly 7 hours to reach and which lies at the distance of 255 km. We will pass by Zhongba and then start moving ahead from Paryang to reach Manasarovar at Chiu Village located around 260km far, taking perhaps six to seven hours to arrive. After completing stressful and long drive, we spend our night at a guest house or may be tents.

Day 08: Visit Lake-Manasarovar. Drive to Darchen (4560m), 30km
After the holy respect and taking bath at sacred Lake Manasarovar, on this day we will drive to get to Darchen lying around 30km far, taking roughly one hour. After that, we will be relaxed with doing whatsoever we feel like and will be residing in a Guesthouse tonight.

Day 09: Trek to Dirapuk/5000m
We will on this day trek for about 5000m to get to Diraphuk. We will have our breakfast enroute and move to Tarboch lying around 8 km away. After that, we begin our walk from Kora, Mt. Kailash to get to Diraphuk. We will finish our dinner at the camp and most likely, we will stay in a camp tonight.

Day 10: Dirapuk to Zuthul Puk
On this day, we will depart from Dirapuk to reach Zuthulphuk. Walking down today, we will see yak herders; they will help you hold the bags and then we will go after our Tibetan guide. As soon as we arrive at Zuthul Pak, we will stay at a gust house after completing our long and stressful walk for today.

Day 11: Trek back to Darchen. Drive to Lake Manasarovar
Today, our walk starts from Zutul Puk to get to Darchen taking roughly four hours to complete. Later on that day, we drive off to Lake Manasarovar taking around an hour to get to. Tonight, we will be staying in our tents.

Day 12: Manasarovar to Saga.
We depart from Manasarovar and drive to Paryang which lies at the distance of approximately 260 km taking roughly seven hours to arrive at. After you turn up at Paryang, we will have another drive from Paryang to reach Saga taking around seven hours. After that, we will get to the Saga Hotel, a standard and top local hotel.

Day 13: Saga to Zhangmu or Saga to Shigatse
We will depart from Saga to reach Zhangmu most probably. You can also choose the options of getting to Shigatse. If you decide to return to Lhasa you will need one extra day. Overnight in Zhangmu or Shigatse.

Day 14: Zhangmu to Friendship Bridge to Kathmandu.
In the morning, on this day we will leave Zhangmu and drive to the Friendship Bridge. Our guide or driver will bid goodbye after reaching at the Kodari, China side. This is the final day of your trek. You will then be driven back to your hotel in Kathmandu where you tour ends.

Tibet has a strict policy of a minimum of two persons required for entry visa. If you are a solo traveller, let us know and we an attempt to find someone to share the visa.  The more people joining your trip the cheaper it becomes, so why not grab a few friends and bring them along.
