Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Paro
Transferred from your hotel to the Kathmandu Airport.  After an amazing flight which on a clear day will give you unrivalled views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, you will arrive at Paro airport. You will be transferred to the booked hotel upon meeting our guide.

Day 02: Paro
Today you will have Paro Sightseeing on this day. Visit the fort of Drugyel dzong that fascinates visitors because of the planned position of the castle. Then drive back and trek to the view spot of Taktsang monastery passing along the villages as well as pine forests. The Taktstang monastery adheres to a vast stone cliff 800 m from the Paro valley.  We will also go to the striking valley to the look at tower known as Ta-Dzong, the 7 floors museum holds a variety of aspects of Bhutanese traditions and history of the 7th century. Walking further we will traverse the bridge to Paro Town. We will walk in the region of the market.

Day 03: Paro toThimphu
Today drive to Thimphu taking 2 hours and check into Hotel. Then we will go for sightseeing. We will make a trip to the Memorial chorten constructed in the reminiscence of the late King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. We will also visit Changangkha monastery and then go around Motithang mini zoo to observe the unusual “Takin” which is the national animal of Bhutan. After that we will drive more down with fine view of the Thimphu valley and visit the Drupthob nunnery temple.

Day 04: Thimphu toWangdi
In Thimpu today we will go around the Painting school, Royal goldsmith workshop, and national library and Handicraft centers. Then driving for 3 hours we will get to Wangduephodrang cross the Dochula pass located at 3100 m.  See the Himalayan ranges of the east side including the uppermost peak in Bhutan, Mt.Gangar Punsum lying at 7520 m. Then drive from the pass moving downhill to the lower as well as warmer valleys Lobesa. We will visit the Wangduephodrang Dzong.

Day 05: Wangdi to Gangtey Valley to Wangdi
Go to the Gangtey Gompa valley situated at an elevation of 2800 m today. The single Nyingmapa monastery in west Bhutan is positioned here. It is also dwelling spot for the exceptional Black Necked Cranes which migrates from the Tibetan flat terrain to run off the unkind winter. At present there are around 300 cranes exist in this valley.

Day 06: Wangdi to Punakha to Thimphu to Paro
Driving for 45 minutes we will leave Wangdi to reach Punakha and make a trip to the Punakha Dzong. This extraordinary fortress is built flanked by two rivers. During the month of February, every year a march- past known as the Punakha Serda is organized to honor the triumph over the Tibetans. Driving for 3 hours to Thimphu we will then have our lunch and reach Paro passing through the oldest construction in Bhutan named as the Simtokha Dzong which is a Buddhist university at present.

Day 07: Paro to Kathmandu
We will transfer to airport and leave for Kathmandu on this day. Upon arrival back to Kathmandu you will be greeted at the airport and returned to your Hotel.  Fly back to home country next day or join other activities.

Pricing Per Person

Bhutanese government sets a daily fee of $250 per person for entering the country.  This price covers the cost of your tour including Guide, Driver, Food, Transport, Accommodation and entrance fees.  $60 of your daily rate goes to the government and pays for roads, health, education etc. The more people joining your trip the cheaper it becomes, so why not grab a few friends and bring them along.
