    Tibet Lhasa Tour – 4 Days

    This 4-day tour is a short, focused trip to the holy city of Lhasa. You will fly from Kathmandu and spend three full days exploring Tibet's capital. This tour is perfect for people with limited time. It lets you see the Potala Palace and other main sights. You will also have time to adjust to the altitude.

    About This Trip

    This is a quick "fly-in, fly-out" tour of Lhasa. You will take the amazing 1-hour flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Our guide will meet you and help you rest to adjust to the altitude. You will then have two full days to see all of Lhasa's top sights. You will see the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Temple, and the two main monasteries. This trip is a short, deep look into Tibetan culture.

    This far-flung land with its unique culture, extensive open spaces, decorated, temples and monasteries will allure you during the Tibet Lhasa tour. An air of enchantment and secrecy with magnificent views of the fantastic Himalayas including Mount Everest noticeable from the Tibetan side is what makes this tour an ideal one.

    We will begin the trip sightseeing on Tibet Lhasa Tour. We will go around stunning Potala as well as Norbulingka Palaces which are built in the 17th century. The famous Potala Palace which houses various majestic staterooms and is the personal quarters of the Dalai Lama will offer a view of the entire city.

    Similarly, we will visit Norbulingka Palace, the summer fort of the Dalai Lama. Next, we will make a tour of the Tibet Museum which holds a lasting set of roughly 1000 objects related to the history of Tibet.

    Moreover, we will visit Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and Barkhor Bazaar.  Drepung Monastery built around the 14th century is supposed to have protected approximately 10,000 monks in the past. Sera Monastery is another conserved monastery with white-washed walls as well as golden roofs.

    Similarly, we will visit Jokhang Temple, a sacred place which consists of deeper secrecy of Tibetan Buddhism. We stroll all the way through Barkhor Bazaar, the centre of Lhasa.

    This is an easy cultural tour. There is no trekking. The only challenge is the high altitude in Lhasa (3,650m).

    It is a feeling of sickness in high places. You may get a headache, feel tired, or have trouble sleeping. Our trip gives you time to rest and adjust.

    How can I prevent altitude sickness?

    Drink 3-4 liters of water every day. Do not drink alcohol. Walk slowly. Your first day in Lhasa is for rest.

    It is one of the best flights in the world. It is about 1 hour. Sit on the right side of the plane for the best views of Mount Everest.
