Imagine a trail that offers the same breathtaking views as Poon Hill, but with a fraction of the trekkers. You walk through quiet forests and stay in simple lodges run by the villagers themselves. You see how your visit helps support local schools and projects. You end your trek by relaxing in natural hot springs.

Our 11-day Mohare Danda Trek is the perfect solution. This community-based trail is a true eco-trek. It offers amazing views and a chance to make a positive impact. It is a trek with a real heart.

Best Time for the Mohare Danda Trek

Choosing the right season is key for the best views. The autumn and spring months have the best weather for this trek.

    • Autumn (September - November): This is the top season. The skies are deep blue and clear, offering sharp views of the peaks. The weather is stable, with mild days and cool nights, perfect for walking.
    • Spring (March - May): This is the second-best time. The weather is warm. The highlight of spring is the rhododendron forests, which bloom with bright red and pink flowers along the trail.

A Typical Day on Your Trek

    • Morning: Your day starts around 7:00 AM. You will have a good breakfast, often in a community kitchen. Then, you will start walking with your guide around 8:00 AM.

    • Lunch: You will stop at a small village or a clearing for lunch. This is a good time to rest and enjoy the peaceful setting.
    • Afternoon: You will walk for another 2-3 hours to reach the next village. You will have free time in the afternoon to see the village or relax.
    • Evening: You can read a book or chat with your guide and host family. Dinner is served around 7:00 PM. Your guide will tell you about the plan for the next day.
