Chulu East (6584m) is one of the more popular climbing peaks, situated on top of the Manang valley with awesome views across to Annapurna II, III and IV, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho peak and Manaslu. The climb is combined with the Annapurna circuit, mounting the Marshyangdi valley and crossing over Thorong La Pass, into the Kali Gandaki valley to Pokhara. The climb is straightforward but you should be experienced with using climbing equipment. The climbing will be walking roped together, including across the glacial crossings.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

As you reach at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, Third Eye Adventure arranges as airport representative who will meet you and end up the formalities (Visa, etc). You just need to confirm our representative with a show board at the way in gate. You will after that shift to the hotel. In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner at a long-established Nepalese restaurant and also observe a Nepal is cultural program. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparing for trek

Today, you will go for sightseeing in Kathmandu. The main fascinations of the sightseeing tour are going around Kathmandu valley where you can see many age-old temples, architectures and more; going around Boudhanath which is one of the biggest Buddhist Stupa in the entire world; Swayambhunath, a renowned monkey temple falling at the hillock; Pashupatinath, a prominent Hindu temple and numerous enthralling places to visit. And many of them are enlisted in UNESCO’s world heritage list. Also, we will prepare for trek today. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Days 03: Kathmandu to Besisahar (770m)
We go ahead from Kathmandu and drive to Besisahar. The road we drive through will take us along the Trishuli Valley. We get magnificent views of the peaks, mostly the Ganesh Himal as well as Manaslu as we go after the river towards Mugling. We afterward twirl from the major road and move to Besisahar way where we start on our trek.

Day 04: Trek to Ngadi camp
From Besisahar we trek along to the stream and traverse to the east part. Our trail lifts higher than the river, ongoing north way up to the Marsyangdi Valley. The path takes us on calm trails from side to side with rice paddies and settlements until we gather with the main track at Bhulebule. The way moves with the eastern side of the river walking along an eye-catching waterfall to Ngadi.

Day 05: Trek to Jagat camp
Today, we will walk over the suspension bridge and after that start on a firm ascend through scrub woods to reach Lampatta, a Manangi area keeping Tibetan mode of prayer flags. A sudden rise brings us to the community of Bahundanda. From the crest we move downward to Syange (1136m). The path then makes way to Jagat.

Day 06: Trek to Dharapani camp (1848m)
After crossing rising and declining path, we will reach Chyamje. Then we will pass a suspension bridge and make way through oak woods. The river goes away from sight as we clamber over a point. The pathway then comes out into valley where we arrive at Tal, the next community is placed at the bottom of a grand falls (1700m). We will traverse the river and climb the contracting valley, sliding down to cross the stream to the community of Dharapani lying at 1943m. Overnight in Dharapani.

Day 07: Trek to Chame camp (2,700m)
On this day, our way moves on to ascend to Bagarchap located at 2164m. Then, we go at the back of the trail from side to side with forest to Dhanagyu and scale up to Temang. Here we can observe the wonderful views of Manaslu plus Peak 29. The trail then descends all the way via fir and pine woods to Koto and then to Chame (2713m) which is the administrative hub of the Manang district. Overnight in Chame Camp.

Day 08: Trek to Pisang camp (3,185m)
Today, walking away from Chame, we come to the alpine regions. Then we arrive at upper area of Manang, identified as Nyeshang. We will continue on the track of river barely through a deep gorge. And we will go by a few waterfalls before reaching Brathang to be found at 2919m. The trail then takes us continuously through the steep valley all the way through deep woods. Now we will be able to see very well views of Annapurna II. We traverse the stream where the amazing curved rock facade of Paungda Danda comes up roughly 1500m from the river shore. Moving further, we will reach village of Pisang lying at 3,185m.

Day 09: Trek to Julu
We now walk ahead from the major path and move downhill from Ngawal to reach Julu village, a tiny Tibetan mode community. The track today follows the stream up the valley going by herder’s huts to a minute camp spot below a icy waterfall (3,962m). Overnight in Julu.

Day 10: Trek to Base Camp (3950m)
This is somewhat a tough day because we reach to the pinnacle and climb vertically up the gorge to the base camp located at 3950m. The trail moves up incessantly climbing to the crags towering above and we set up our base camp. Overnight in the base camp.

Day 11: Trek to High Camp (5300m)
Today we have small walk to reach the high camp (5,300m). We will carry out ice axe and crampon practices, on foot roped up and the make use of the abseil tool. From high camp, we will be enthralled with the panorama of the Annapurna ranges with an incredible sunset and sunrise views.

Day 12: Summit Chulu (6564m) and back to base camp
Today, from high camp we will have a straight up rise to Col at 5,500m. We can notice the splendid summit edge at the front. The hard work of climb with ropes and other equipments is pleased by incredible views from the peak. Actually, we will be rewarded by the views of Gangapurna, the Annapurna, Manaslu etc. and at the back us lays Tibet. We will then walk back to the base camp. Overnight in base camp.

Day 13: Trek to Manang (3,520m) camp
Today, move downhill to the Manang Valley and go behind the most important track to Manang. We can make a trip to the small community of Braga which has its very old monastery. Braga is also residence to a petite tree nursery, a project that has been supported for 10 years. A short hike from Braga will take us to Manang. Overnight in Manang.

Day 14: Trek to Thorung Phedi (4700m)
On this day, we make our way to the Thorong La. We go up out to the Marsyangdi valley and twist north-west valley of the Jarsang River. We will then pass from side to side with dry, with scrub, juniper and infrequent masses of birch. A traverse crossway the mount takes to Thorong Phedi which is bounded by high face at the bottom of the Thorong La (4,700m.). Overnight in Thorung Phedi.

Day 15: Trek to Jomsom (2700m)
We will have a long day trek and leave Phedi. The first division of the way up is very sheer, but it becomes easy as we go to the top, even though the height still makes the going hard-hitting. Eventually, after more than a few false apexes, we get to the pass at 5416m. To the facade there is an astonishing landscape of snowy peaks pulled out northwardly to Tibet, and at our back we can notice a number of of the major peaks of Annapurna. The long way down starts but turns steeper ahead of easing off to a mild fall to Muktinath (3802m).

Day 16: Jomsom to Pokhara to Kathmandu
We will catch the flights from Jomsom to reach Pokhara which are generally in the early morning because of the high storms which destroys the Kali Gandaki Valley afterward in the day. The eye-catching flight above the majestic views of Niligiri and Dhaulagiri appears. We fly to Pokhara and taking another flight we will come back to Kathmandu.

Day 17: Fly back to your destination

Our airport agent will take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your return to you home country. We will hope to see you again since we organize a lot of other peak climbing options, as well as tours, expeditions, and sports activities.
