Delights of Bhutan tour (11 Days)

We will arrive at Paro airport. You will be transferred to the booked hotel upon meeting our guide.

On this day, we will have Paro sightseeing. We will visit the fort of Drugyel dzong that fascinates visitors because of the planned position of the castle. Then we will drive back and trek to the view spot of Taktsang monastery passing along the villages as well as pine forests.

The Taktstang monastery adheres to a vast stone cliff 800 m from the Paro valley. We will also go to the striking valley to the look at tower known as Ta-Dzong, the 7 floors museum holds a variety of aspects of Bhutanese traditions and history of the 7th century. Walking further we will traverse the bridge to Paro Town. We will walk in the region of the market.

On this day, we will drive to Thimphu on this day taking 2 hours and check into Hotel. Then we will go for sightseeing. We will make a trip to the Memorial chorten constructed in the reminiscence of the late King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

We will also visit Changangkha monastery and then go around Motithang mini zoo to observe the unusual “Takin” which is the national animal of Bhutan. After that we will drive more down with fine view of the Thimphu valley. We will visit the Drupthob nunnery temple. We will also go to see the Painting school, Royal goldsmith workshop, National library and Handicraft centers.

Then driving for 3 hours we will get to Wangduephodrang cross the Dochula pass located at 3100 m. We can notice see the Himalayan ranges of the east side including the uppermost peak in Bhutan, Mt.Gangar Punsum lying at 7520 m. We will then drive from the pass moving downhill to the lower as well as warmer valleys Lobesa. We will visit the Wangduephodrang Dzong.

After having breakfast, we will drive to Gangtey and after that to Phobjikha valley. Phobjikha valley falls below the Black Mountain Natural Park. And it is the home for rare black necked cranes during winter, which travel, in huge group from Tibet and Sikang, Tonkin in east China, Yunnan to Bhutan.

There are a number of other wild lives in the adjoining valleys like wild boar, Himalayan black bear, barking deer, red leopard, fox, and many types of birds. Also we will visit the Sacred Gangtey Monastery which overlooks the valley. We will keep on moving to Trongsa to stay overnight.

Trongsa is the familial dwelling spot for Bhutan’s Royal Family. We will visit Tongsa Dzong, one of the biggest forts in the country. We will go around the antique watch tower Ta Dzong which is located just over the town and at the present considered as a museum.

We will have a half-day sightseeing downward of the city to Kuenga Rabten. Beside the road are striking rice terraces. We will keep on south to the tropical region to observe for birds, wild lives like Golden Langurs

We will drive to Bumthang where we will view the Jakar Dzong. On the way, we will stop in the Chumey Valley, here we can observe girls knitting Yatha the customary woolen substance used for diverse reason on a long-established handloom.

Today we will go around Bumthang, a very large and unwrapped lying at an altitude in between 2,600m to 4,000m. Popular as a paradise for trekkers, the spot is beautiful and holds significant Buddhist monasteries. Bumthang combines four major valleys, Chumey, Ura, Tang, and Choskhor. Here we can see a small bit of modern tap.

On this day we will have a full day drive to reach at Punakha. And on the way we can have sightseeing.

In Punakha today you will go around Punakha Dzong, which rules the entire area built by Shabdrung Nawang Namgyel and founded the vital monastic group with 600 monks. Punakha Dzong is in fact one of the most striking forts in the Kingdom. Then, we will drive to Paro.

In the morning today we will hike up to the view spot Taktsang, commonly identified as “Tiger’s Nest Monastery”. In the afternoon, we will have sightseeing around Paro Valley plus make a trip to the National Museum.

We will transfer to airport and leave for Kathmandu on this day. The next day you will fly back to home country or join other activities
