Lhasa EBC Tour and Trek ( 10 days )

pleasure from a striking Himalayan scene. We will fly over Everest (8,848m), and other stunning peaks as well as glaciers. And choosing to fly from Lhasa by mainland China, we will fly from the main Chinese towns or take the world’s uppermost train way to Lhasa. We will today begin sightseeing in Lhasa and then go around stunning Potala as well as Norbulingka Palaces which are built in the 17th century. The famous Potala Palace will offer the view of entire city plus houses various majestic state rooms, the personal quarters of the Dalai Lama. Similarly, we will visit Norbulingka Palace, the summer fort of the Dalai Lama. After finishing our breakfast we will visit Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and Barkhor Bazaar. Drepung Monastery built around 14th century is supposed to have protected approximately 10,000 monks in the past. Sera Monastery is another conserved monastery with white-washed walls as well as golden roofs. Similarly, we will visit Jokhang Temple, a sacred place which consists of deeper secrecy of Tibetan Buddhism. We stroll all the way through Barkhor Bazaar, the centre of Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa.

Today, we will drive to Gyantse. Enroute, we will go by the Khamba La Pass lying at 4,794m. Here we can see the splendor of the Yamdrok Tso (Lake) which is counted among the three major holy lakes in Tibet and the striking glacier, Nazin Kang Sang. In a little while, we come transversely through another pass, the Karo La Pass (5,045m). Before reaching Gyantse, we can get pleasure from vistas of huge glaciers falling down. In Gyantse, we make a trip to the Khumbum Stupa, Gyantse Dzong, Phalkot Monastery and more. Overnight in Gyantse.

After breakfast, we will drive to Shigatse, the second biggest capital in Tibet. In Shigatse, we go around the admired Tashilhunpo Monastery founded by Gendun Drup who was the first Dalai Lama in 1447. Overnight in Shigatse.

After breakfast, we depart from Shigatse for Rongbuk. En route, we make a trip to the Sakya Monastery, the inherited temple of the Sakyapa cult of Tibetan Buddhism. We will then continue to drive to Rongbuk. Here, we go around the Rongbuk Monastery situated at the base of the great Everest and is the tallest monastery in the world. Overnight in Rongbuk.

We depart from Rongbuk to visit the Everest Base Camp (5,250m). On the way, we will get pleasure from amazing views of lofty mountains like Shishapangma (8,013m), Cho Oyu (8,201m) and the massive Everest (8,848m) also identified as Mt. Chomolongma lying in the Tibetan side. Today is the important day of our trip to reach the base camp of Mt. Everest which is dry and desolate. Then we will return to Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa

On this day, our airport representative will drive to the airport and bid goodbye. Fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu airport, a Third Eye Adventure representative will meet you at the airport and return you to your Kathmandu hotel where your tour will finish.
