Lobuche Peak Climbing

From Kathmandu taking a gratifying flight, we will move to Lukla (2827m) early in the morning in 40 minutes. Reaching at Lukla, we set up our trek downward to reach near the Dudh Kosi River and catch up the major path to reach Namche Bazaar, located just on top of Chaunrikharka. The trail is unproblematic and walking crosswise we will reach at the tiny community of Ghat. After passing by the community, we will then take a short amble to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.

Today, we will head off from Phakding with a minor mount to Jorsale and we swing further on from a cascade. We, after that, pass by different communities and superb woodland of rhododendron, mammoth firs plus magnolia trees. Subsequently, we turn to Namche going cross ways via bridges and rise some meters, an upright fall then after another steeper way up from side to side to the forest we will reach Namche bazaar. We will in our day trek for just about 4 hours and stay at lodge or guest house.

We will have a day off from our trek in our day in Namche Bazaar to get proper adjustment at the elevation. Namche is a prosperous community positioned in a large secluded empty space. Here, from the national park headquarters located on top of the town, one can look both picturesque vistas of sunrise as well as sunset. The astonishing vista also contains wonderful outlook of the Khumbu peaks and big views of Mt Everest. We amble down all the way through the Khumjung area today and take a trip to the main momentous lane to Everest at Shanasa. After that, we will continue strolling to Trashinga and go downhill to go across the Dudh Kosi River lying at Phunkitenga (3250m). In the hours of daylight, today we will have a broad and straight up path passing side by side to fir, black juniper, rhododendron forest, pine, etc. that takes us to Tengboche Monastery. Adding up, we can also observe huge mountains -AmaDablam, Kantega, Mount Everest and more. We will stay in Tengboche tonight.

We make a tour all around the Tengboche monastery today in the early morning ahead of moving downhill passing side by side to the forest of birch, fir, juniper, rhododendron to arrive the nunnery located at Debuche. At that moment, we have stable way up only. After passing across the Imja River, the track moves ahead to the Pangboche community where we can catch the view of the dazzling peak Ama Dablam. We will most probably choose the upper Pangboche track since more pristine views of beautiful peaks will greet us. We also make a trip around the Pangboche monastery. From here, we will have a temperate walk as we enter the Imja Valley. The valley steadily opens out when approaching the convergence of the Lobuche River. We tumble down to the river and start on the trekking up to Dingboche. Overnight in Dingboche.

We will have another day rest to acclimatizein Dingboche, a most preferred stop for climbers walking to the Everest base camp or Imja Tse. The community is striking with a range of fields wrapped by stone walls to look after barley, potatoes and buckwheat from the freezing storm and grazing wild lives. We can optionally go to Ama Dablam base camp, Chukkhung or Nagarjun Hill for immense views of Lhotse, Makalu, Chalotse, Ama Dablam, Tawache etc. Overnight in Dingboche.

Our trail mounts to reach the drainage of the Khumbu. After roughly an hour it commences to make way up the Khumbu Glacier’s moraine. It is Dughla for half of our way up to the moraine. Moving additionally ahead from Dughla the track without any stop takes us steeply to the crest of the moraine. The track now takes us to walk on plane way falling on the west part of the moraine sooner than arriving at Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.

We take the track to Everest Base Camp from side to side with Gorakshep Lake which was once a vast lake. We will walk in a straight line to the front and we come crossways the Indian army climbers’ memorials. The trail from here is strenuous because of thin air in the elevated altitude. From Lobuche, we walk to Lobuche base camp. After strolling sometime on fairly flatter surface, the trail to the Lobuche Base Camp will become rocky and steeper. We move frontward next to the Lobuche Glacier enjoying immense views of Ama Dablam, Kantega Pokalde, Cholatse, Thamserku, and many other Himalayas. Overnight in Lobuche East Base Camp.

On this day, we will make our way to reach at the High Camp that lies at 5400m higher than the Lobuche Base Camp (4,950m). Our path is not very far-reaching one but has quite a few testing tracks. From here the snap of the enormous and snowy peaks proffer you overwhelming sense. We lay our camp here for overnight.

We will have our breakfast at around 2 am and start ascending to the summit of Lobuche East Peak since we need to reach there before noon as in the daylight the sturdy winds in the elevated lands may turn into an obstacle for reaching the summit. This is the important day that offers a chance to see more panoramic scenes of peaks like- Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Cholatse, and many others. We use up some time at the pinnacle taking good pictures, after that we return back to the High Camp for an overnight stay.

After our morning breakfast, we walk down from Lobuche High Camp and unite the Everest Base Camp way at Lobuche another time. From Lobuche, we once more make way to Pheriche. Here, we get to take pleasure from glorious views of Mt. Ama Dablam. From Pheriche, we carry on to Pangboche. We trek downward through the hill enclosed by rhododendron as well as juniper trees. After reaching Pangboche we might also go around the famous Pangboche Monastery.

From Pangboche, we go back down to the Imja River and up from side to side with the forest to arrive at Tengboche. Optionally, we can also make a trip to the Tengboche monastery. We will continue all the way through the hillside enclosed by rhododendron as well as juniper trees. After walking across the bridge above the Dudh Koshi River, our path follows the Dudh Koshi ravine before reaching Sansa. On this day, we will make our path up to the landing strip in Lukla after a little amble on the valley. Overnight in Lukla.

Early in the morning, we will bid goodbye to Lukla and take a pictorial flight back to arrive in Kathmandu. On onset in Kathmandu we will shift back to our hotel. And, in the evening today, in Kathmandu we will together have leave-taking dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.
