Mera Peak (6476m) is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. It is a physically demanding snow trek with straightforward climbing. It’s  suitable for all fit trekkers who dare to dream of standing on a Himalayan summit and for all experienced trekkers looking for an exciting expedition-style tented camping and climbing trip in Nepal.  After an exciting flight to Lukla, we begin our Mera Peak trek. The panoramic views seen from our Mera High Camp are truly breathtaking.  The summit day starts early in the morning and we approach the summit by the northern route – this involves gradual a climb with outstanding views of Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu always in sight.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
As you reach at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, Third Eye Adventure arranges as airport representative who will meet you and end up the formalities (Visa, etc). You just need to confirm our representative with a show board at the way in gate. You will after that shift to the hotel. In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner at a long-established Nepalese restaurant and also observe a Nepal is cultural program. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparing for trek
Today, you will go for sightseeing in Kathmandu. The main fascinations of the sightseeing tour are going around Kathmandu valley where you can see many age-old temples, architectures and more; going around Boudhanath which is one of the biggest Buddhist Stupa in the entire world; Swayambhunath, a renowned monkey temple falling at the hillock; Pashupatinath, a prominent Hindu temple and numerous enthralling places to visit. And many of them are enlisted in UNESCO’s world heritage list. Also, we will prepare for trek today. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2800m).
From Kathmandu taking a pleasing flight, we will move to Lukla (2827m) early in the morning in 40 minutes. Overnight at lodge in Lukla.

Day 04: Trek Lukla to Chutanga, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
We have an unproblematic day passing side by side with the woods elevated than Lukla. A very fine track takes us via a meadow to the side-line of pines and rhododendrons trees which covers the vertical hills ahead of Lukla. After roughly 3 hours we get to to Chutanga. Stay at Lodge for overnight .

Day 05: Trek Chutanga to Khartitang, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
Taking something like 6 hours, we will follow the path from Chutanga to Khartitang area. You walk passing from side to side with Zatrawa La Pass at the elevation of 4610m with an instant up climb. We will be rewarded by the breathtaking views of Kongdi Ri, Numbur Himal, Karyolang peak, and numerous others. Subsequently, we will move downhill to Khartitang positioned at 3900m. Stay at Lodge for overnight in Khartitang.

Day 06: Trek Khatitang to Nau Lekha, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
Today we will march to Nau Lekha walking further on from Khartitang. You will go by lush valleys and unusual communities. You can view the sights of the startling scenery all along the pathway to Nau Lekha. Stay at Lodge for overnight in Naulekha.

Day 07: Trek Nau Lekha to Kothey, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
We go all along the pathway to catch the area to Kothey once we leave Nau Lekha today. The passageway pleasingly goes downhill side by side with forest.  We will distinguish shepherds, their huts and pasture by the surface of the track. The panorama of peaks and scenes of jungles are captivatingly fine-looking on the trail to Kothey. We will settle for overnight at Lodge in Kothey.

Day 08: Trek Kothey to Thangnak, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
We will walk further on from Kothe to get to Thangnak (4356m.) today leisurely walking all the way side by side with Hinku Valley (4600m). Walking nearby the shore of river, the lane in addition makes way further up and you will be enchanted with the stunning mountain views like Kusum Kanguru and diverse others. Sooner or later, you will get to Thangnak, the ending spot for today’s walk. We will settle for overnight at Lodge in Thangnak.

Day 09: Thagnak Rest for Acclimatization Camp.
Today is a rest day in Thangnak. We may not adjust abruptly in the elevated region that is the reason we ought to be accustomed with the atmosphere at high height. And we set away one additional day to rest. Overnight at camp.

Day 10: Trek Thangnak to Khare, Stay at Lodge for overnight.

Day 11: From Khare trek to Mera BC, Overnight at Camp

Upon onset at the Mera base camp, we get some free time to walk all around in the Mera Peak base camp.  We will put our camp to settle for overnight.

Day 12: From Mera Base Camp climb to High Camp
On this day, we stroll to High Camp lying above the Mera Peak at the elevation of 5750m. Our path is not very far-reaching one but has quite a few testing tracks. From here the snap of the enormous and snowy peaks proffer you overwhelming sense. We lay our camp here for overnight.

Day 13: Extra day for bad weather.
Today is a rest day in High camp. We may not adjust abruptly in the elevated region that is the reason we ought to be accustomed with the atmosphere at high height. And we set away one additional day to rest.  Overnight at camp again.

Day 14: From High Camp reach the summit 6654m. Back to Base camp
This date is the most momentous day to get there at the pinnacle of Mera Peak (6476m). The amazing vistas of Mt. Everest, Nuptse and different others having elevation larger than 8000m are observable from the high point of the peak that turns out to be one of the cherished experiences. We will after that go to the base Camp and stay overnight there.

Day 15: Trek from Mera Base Camp to Khare, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
On this day, we will make way back to Khare after the striking second of reaching at the high point of the mountain and observing the cherished views. Also, the highlights are pleasing while walking down from the Mera peak base camp to Khare. We stay overnight at Lodge in Khare.

Day 16: Khare – Free day as reserve.

Day 17: From Khare trek to Kothey, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
We go not here from Khare to Kothey which takes roughly 8 hours. We will walk all along the compact falling track moving side by side with Thangnang, a small area where you can observe yaks. En-route to Kothey, you go away at the back where there are forests of firs, rhododendrons as well as local vegetations. We will settle for overnight at Lodge in Kothey.

Day 18: From Kothey trek to Khartitang, Overnight at camp

Day 19: Trek Khartitang to Chutanga, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
We will transfer to Chutanga marching back through same lane to Khartitang moving down and passing from side to side with the woods of rhododendrons. The eye-catching vistas of Himalayan assortment appear to be pretty and outstanding even if we are leave-taking from these breathtaking views. We go into at Chutanga and lay camps for the night stay.

Day 20: Chutanga to Lukla, Stay at Lodge for overnight.
We will today, walk ahead to arrive at Lukla taking roughly 4 hours. You will trek all the way through oak, rhododendron, fir, juniper and other various forests. The trail you will walk downward will take you to Lukla. Here, we can take pleasure from the views of Karyolang peak, Numbur Himal, Kongdi Ri and number of other peaks. Overnight at lodge in Chutanga.

Day 21: Take a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, Overnight at Hotel
On this day, we will take an arresting trip from Lukla to return back to Kathmandu. . On onset in Kathmandu we will shift back to our hotel. And, in the evening today, in Kathmandu we will together have leave-taking dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 22: Fly back to your destination
Our airport agent will take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your return to you home country. We will hope to see you again since we organize a lot of other peak climbing options, as well as tours, expeditions, and sports activities.

Trip Start Dates

We will organise this trip on the dates requested by you. The two best seasons for climbing are spring and another is autumn. The other seasons are not recommended for climbing because of the weather. Please contact us today for a customised departure date.
