Yala Peak (5,520m) is one of Nepal’s easier trekking peaks, located to the north of Kathmandu in the beautiful Langtang valley region. We will be in the heart of the Himalaya with awe inspiring views into Tibet and out over Nepal.  This is the chance to experience an adventure encompassing all of the best elements of a Himalayan mini expedition in an enjoyable and accessible way. Langtang is the closest national park to Kathmandu, requiring a drive to get there, and the valley is famous for its flora, aswell as beautiful himalayan peaks.

You will have stunning views of many beautiful mountains such as Lantang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang 7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and mighty Shishapangma (8027m) on the Tibetan side.

The Yala Peak climb is non-technical and prior climbing experience is not required, however extensive outdoor experience and a reasonably good level of fitness is necessary and will enable you to thoroughly enjoy your adventure.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
As you reach at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, Third Eye Adventure arranges as airport representative who will meet you and end up the formalities (Visa, etc). You just need to confirm our representative with a show board at the way in gate. You will after that shift to the hotel. In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner at a long-established Nepalese restaurant and also observe a Nepal is cultural program. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparing for trek
Today, you will go for sightseeing in Kathmandu. The main fascinations of the sightseeing tour are going around Kathmandu valley where you can see many age-old temples, architectures and more; going around Boudhanath which is one of the biggest Buddhist Stupa in the entire world; Swayambhunath, a renowned monkey temple falling at the hillock; Pashupatinath, a prominent Hindu temple and numerous enthralling places to visit. And many of them are enlisted in UNESCO’s world heritage list. Also, we will prepare for trek today. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu drive to Syabrubesi (1550m)
Today, you will drive through the way lying to the north-west hills for roughly 8 hours . You will be witnessing attractive setting of snowy massifs on the way like Manasalu, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Annapurna 2, and other slight peaks. The scenes of ridgeline and hills go off via Trishuli Bazaar, Betrawati, and Dhunche. Later, we come down to reach Syabrubesi for the overnight stay.

Day 04: Trek Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2450m)
The trail passes by way of Bhotekoshi River that gushes down from Tibet next to the Langtang River. The trek steadily goes up to Bamboo way. Later, the track goes from side to side with the Sub Tropical woods that are sheltered by oaks, maple, massive spruce, and blue pine. The diverse flora and fauna including wild Boars, Red Pandas, Monkeys, yellow-throated Martens etc can be seen on our way. Then, our trek moves to Rimche (2400m). Overnight at Lama Hotel for the night.

Day 05: Lama Hotel trek to Langtang Village (3430m)
After finishing our breakfast, our pathway begins with Oaks, pink as well as white Rhododendrons, Hemlocks higher than the Langtang River. The eye-catching view of snowy peak view of Mt. Langtang Lirung (7244m) appears in front of us. The path leads further and we move toward lavish fields of Ghora Tabela (2992m). Countless more can be observed on the way ahead of reaching Langtang village bounded by stone walls; surrounded fields where wheat, potatoes, barley, buckwheat are placed. Overnight in Langtang Village.

Day 06: Trek to KyanjinGompa (3870m)
The track goes via villages and climbs to the edge enclosed by a large Chorten. Once you traverse various trivial streams; forested beam bridges plus moraines, you can finally get a sight of the Monastery of Kyanjin monastery and the vivid icefall flowing downhill from the Kimshung as well as Lantang Lirung peaks. The scenes are exhilarating because of panoramic sights of Ganja La (5160m), Genjempol, Langtang Lirung, Yala Peaks, Kyanjuin RI (4750m), and et-cetera.

Day 07: Acclimatization day in Kyanjin
After the breakfast, we will be going around the cheese factory and monastery. You will be walking up the Moraine to sight the amazing ice facades and dropping glaciers of Langtang Lirung. Afterward, we will go up to KYanjin Ri (4350m), TserkoRi (5000m). There are quite a few choices sided trips as well. Overnight in Kyanjin.

Day 08: Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Peak Base Camp (5732 m)
Today, we will be mountaineering to the Yala Peak’s (5732m) base camp. This is a minute workout day. Overnight at the base camp.

Day 09: Base Camp to summit (Yala Peak). Return to KyanjinGompa
On this day, we ascend to the summit of Yala peak. This is the most important day and it’s a great sense of delight to reach to the highest peak. The peak offers eye-catching panorama from there. After celebrating at the peak for some time, we will return back to the Kyanjin Gompa to stay overnight.

Day 10: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
You will take your breakfast witnessing the excellent scenes of snow-white mountains. Then, we will go down back following the Langtang River to Langtang community and move head to Ghora Tabela. After finishing our lunch in Ghora Tabela, we will walk further on to the same Hotel observing extravagant views of lofty mountains. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

Day 11: Lama Hotel trek to Big Syabrubesi (2230m)
The path falls downward to the river and goes side by side with pine and Junipers. It offers grand views of Red Pandas, Boar, monkeys, and diverse types of birds when moving to Thulo Syabru. You will be free to see the sights around. You can also look at the wonderful views of Ganesh Himal (7110m) plus several other peaks from the village. Overnight in Thulo Syabru village.

Day 12: Big Syabrubesi to Sing Gompa (3330m)
The track leads us to Sing Gompa from Thulo Syabru with a sheer mounting path passing through Dursagang (2735m). En-route, you can take hold of wonderful views of Langtang Himal and a lot of more. Soon after, you will walk through Rhododendron woodland and pastures to the top at Phoparng Danda (3190m). The path ascends and reaches Sing Gompa. Overnight at a tea house.

Day 13: Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda Lake (4460m)
From Sing Gompa the trail moves to Lauribinayak firstly to alpine country higher than the tree line. After you traverse a small fold, you get to perceive the divine Gosainkunda Lake. The myth tells Gosainkunda was shaped by Lord Shiva when he pierced a glacier in search of water to eradicate his thirst after sipping the toxic which exposed to finish the earth. For the period of the full-moon each August, many pilgrims make a trip there to dedicate and bathe.

Day 14: Gosainkunda to Ghopte (3440m)
After the visit in the region of Gosainkunda, you begin with a climb to the north face of Gosainkunda and mounts on the unsteady walls. From here, we can spot Annapurna range all through the way. Afterwards, our track leads us down to reach Phedi (3740m). From here, we have ascents all the way through the bamboo bush to the top. Walking down through rocky knoll; Rhododendron woods, you will lastly arrive at Ghopte. Overnight in Ghopte at night.

Day 15: Ghopte to Tharepati (3510m)
From the point in Ghopte, our track slightly makes way down and after that ascends through the junipers, oak Rhododendron forest up to the Tharepati. From the community, you can grab the just right scene of the Langtang peak range. Overnight in Tharepati.

Day 16: Tharepati to GulBhanjyang (2800m)
Walking to the East from Tharepati, the path drops downward the edge and goes by forest with happiness vistas until you arrive at the enthralling traditional Helambu valley. Eye-catching peak views, local inhabitants, way of life, customs, and customs will delight you. Overnight in Gul Bhanjyang.

Day 17: GulBhanjyang to Chisapani (2140m)
Walking downward to the Pathi Bhanjyang, we will again go by forest. It’s a short day of our peak which goes up to Chisapani from where the spectacle of the whole central Himalaya is outstanding. You can also find a sight of peak ranges Manaslu, Everest etc. Overnight in Chisapani.

Day 18: Chisapani to Sundarijal and to Kathmandu
After our breakfast, you begin walking up the last bypass in Borlang Bhanjyang (2240m). From here, you go downward to the Tamang community of Mulkharka (1800m). Terrific views can be observed along the path at a lower elevation. Later, it’s a tiny climb to Sundarijal as we leave behind through local water supply. From Sundarijal, we will drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 19: Farewell Departure
Our airport agent will take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your return to you home country. We will hope to see you again since we organize a lot of other peak climbing options, as well as tours, expeditions, and sports activities.

We will organise this trip on the dates requested by you. The best seasons for climbing are spring, Summer and autumn. Winter is not recommended for climbing because of the weather. Please contact us today for a customised departure date.
