Best of Nepal Tour - 9 Days

Your tour starts as you arrive at the airport in Kathmandu. Upon your arrival we will greet you with a traditional garland (floral wreath worn around your neck). This is our way of saying welcome to Nepal. You will then be transferred by private car to your hotel to settle in. You might choose to go for a walk around after some rest and later in the evening we will organize a welcome dinner at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant.

After breakfast your guide will take you by private vehicle to Pashupatinath temple, one of the most sacred sites for Hindus in Nepal. Our next stop will be Bodhnath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. This is your chance to see some of the thousands of pilgrims who gather to walk around the dome each day. Climb up to one of the many rooftop cafes for lunch and be rewarded with a bird’s-eye view of the entire square. After lunch explore the medieval town of Patan, and then head up to Nagarkot for sunset. This town has become famous as one of the best spots to view Mount Everest, as well as other snow-topped peaks in the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal.

Enjoy a breathtaking sunrise from your hotel, or a 45min walk will lead to a viewing tower, where 360º views of the surroundings High Himalayan Ranges can be seen. After Breakfast we drive down to the medieval town of Bhaktapur, before heading back to our hotel in Kathmandu. After lunch escape the urban bustle with a trip to the tranquil garden of dreams, a beautiful garden oasis in the heart of the city. Your last stop for the day is the Buddhist temple Swayambhunath, mobbed by monkeys and soaring above the city on a hilltop, the ‘Monkey Temple’ is a fascinating, chaotic jumble of Buddhist and Hindu iconography. This is a great place to end your day, so enjoy the view and maybe catch a sunset before heading back to your hotel for dinner.

Our first flight is an early one today as we head to the Kathmandu airport for our Everest mountain flight. After witnessing incredible views of the highest mountains in the world it’s time for breakfast. Next fly east to the peaceful lakeside town of Pokhara. On arrival drive up to our hotel perched high above the surroundings. Two nights will be spent at this beautiful resort, allowing you to enjoy panoramic views of the mountains Machhapucchre, Annapurna, Manaslu & Dhaulagiri and savour the enchanting sight of the pristine Phewa Lake and the valley floor stretching below. As the World Peace Pagoda lies just a stone-throw away from the retreat, you can walk down and explore it or take a short hike and explore the surrounding villages. Your guide will be brief you the following days activities. Pokhara has a variety of activities to offer, such as Paragliding, Zip Line, Short walks, shopping and spas.

If you’re an early riser, then you won’t be disappointed this morning as the sunrise from this location is hard to beat. Otherwise sleep in and take in Pokhara at your own pace.

After breakfast we say goodbye to this special place. We drive south to the Royal Chitwan National Park. After checking into our hotel, we explore the local village area and enjoy the sunset inside the park. Keep an eye out for the rare One Horned Rhino.

Today we get our safari hats on as we go exploring the Jungle. It’s a fun morning as you enjoy a guided canoe ride through the jungle, visit an elephant breeding centre and join in with the bathing of the elephants. After Lunch we put our safari hats on for a Jungle Safari ride with our own Jeep. You may be lucky enough to spot a Bengal tiger.

If you like your birds, then it’s an early start as Chitwan is one of the best destination for bird watching. More than 500 species have been recorded in Chitwan National Park. Otherwise have a sleep in as after breakfast we will leave our resort and drive  to Kathmandu. Once checked back into our Kathmandu hotel, fresh then rest of the afternoon you have free to explore the city.

Our agency’s representative will greet you at your hotel with private car and offer you a Khada (scarf). Wearing a Khada means good luck and protection. Afterwards they will drop you to the airport. Farewell from Nepal.
