If you’re planning to trek in the Langtang Region, the only way to reach is by heading from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by hiring a private jeep or taking a local bus. However, if you are planning for the Gosaikunda trek, then you need to reach Dhunche first before proceeding to Gosaikunda.

The approximate road distance from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi is around 122 kilometres (76 miles) and similarly, Kathmandu to Dhunche is around 117 kilometres (73 miles).

Syabrubesi( 1,460 meters)and Dhunche(2,030 meters) are located in the Rasuwa District of central Nepal. Both Syabrubesi and Dhunche serve as a major transportation hub and gateway to various trekking routes in the Langtang region.

What Is The Best Way To Reach Syabrubesi/ Dhunche

Due to bumpy roads in some parts of the Syabrubesi and Dhunche the best way is to get by hiring/shared jeep. Private jeep allows you to stop wherever you want while the shared jeep stops only in the designated areas. You can get the Langtang National Park permit either in Kathmandu or in Syabrubesi or Dhunche. If you are heading for the peak climbing then you need to have the climbing permit form the Nepal Mountaineering Association(NMA).
