Our Chulu East Peak Climbing package is an adventure, taking brave climbers to the tip-top of Chulu East (6,584 meters). The majestic peak looms over the Manang district with a heart-stopping view of the Annapurna region peaks. Trudge step by step on the ridgeline of snow, rock, and ice that leads to the pinnacle of the peak. At this moment, turn in all directions and look out in awe at the sheer vastness of the Himalayas.
Chulu East lies just above Manang and fits perfectly into the Annapurna Circuit Trek – one of the greatest trekking trails in the world. To take on this glorious trek with an ascent of Chulu East is an opportunity few get to take. So, come to have the adventure of a lifetime and join us on this incredible package.
Carve along the Marsyangdi River Valley past the quintessential Annapurna region landscape: diverse forests (including lush rhododendron trees), rock-filled streams, and terraced hills. Watch the scenery rapidly change and become more unique as we ascend day by day.
Time flies as each day gets more and more exciting. Soon, we are at Chulu East Base Camp briefing on our upcoming climb. At High Camp, we make sure our gear is intact and that we are all set to go. Before the crack of dawn, we wake up and begin towards the summit. The sun rises as we are ascending, producing a most excellent view. We watch the first light of the day hit the peaks with glowing orange-red colour. At the top of Chulu East, we see the extensive Manang Valley and a whole array of Himalayan peaks. Many climbers feel tears come to their eyes at this moment from being overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of the landscape below.
The journey is not over yet. Continue the circuit trail to the Thorong La Pas (5,416 meters) – another early morning wake-up call with a splendid view. The high alpine crossing gives views of Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Manaslu (8,156m), and Annapurna I (8,090m), three of the ten highest peaks in the world.
Descending from the mountaintop, we begin the lower Mustang adventure. Our introduction leads us to Muktinath. Immediately we notice the difference in our environment – vegetation has turned to rock and rubble. High cliffs with caves embedded in them take the place of snowy mountains, though we still have mountain views in the distance. Check out Muktinath Temple, a famous pilgrimage destination for both Hindus and Buddhists throughout India and Nepal.
To the end of Chulu East Peak Climbing, we pass through the unique Kali Gandaki Gorge and say farewell to the mountains, with sights set on your next Himalayan adventure.
