What To Expect Everest Panorama Trek
Starting out from the capital Kathmandu valley with a 45-minute flight to Lukla (2,860m), you’ll already get a taste of the pristine beauty of the Himalayas. The view from the top of the plane will be unforgettable, as you pass through many beautiful districts of Nepal.
Continuing on the Everest Panorama Trek, you’ll traverse through lush forests, cross raging rivers and streams, and catch glimpses of glaciers as you make your way toward your destination. Routes, Foods & Accommodations To Everest Panorama Trek
We'll start our journey from Kathmandu by flying 45 minutes to Lukla, then we’ll trek another 3 hours to Phakding. From Phakding, we’ll trek to Namche Bazaar, which is a popular destination for trekkers and mountaineers, as it is the gateway to the Everest Base Camp and other high-altitude treks. The trek will take us around 5-6 hours and will be steep. However, the views make it all worth it. As you traverse the mountains, you will pass through several villages and forests and get a glimpse of a beautiful river Dudh Koshi, along the way.
Namche is a great place to acclimate before heading higher into the Himalayas, where you can wander around, shop for supplies, and visit some of the local restaurants and cafes. It takes around four to five hours to reach the Everest View Hotel from Namche. Once you arrive at the hotel, you will enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas. Additionally, Everest View Hotel offers a unique opportunity to explore local culture and Sherpa heritage.
Continuing from the Everest View Hotel, our next destination is Tengboche. Our trek from Everest view hotel to Tengboche takes around 6 hours and follows a steep uphill climb through forests and past several. Once you reach Tengboche, you will have the chance to explore the Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about Buddhism and the local Sherpa culture. Tengboche is our last stop before returning to Lukla and boarding your flight back.
