Bird Watching Tour - 9 Days

As soon as you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received and greeted by the airport representative from Third Eye Adventure. After completing the formalities at the airport, you will transfer to the hotel. You will enjoy an evening dinner at typical Nepali restaurant and enjoy your choice of food. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, we will have a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu city. You will observe the exciting sight of the prominent antique temples at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square which are in fact enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Lists. Also, making a trip to Swayambhunath, identified as the monkey temple is worshipped by people from both religion- Buddhists plus Hindus. Similarly, Pashupatinath, the main sacred temples in Nepal and Boudhanath, the biggest Buddhist monastery in the world too comes under the list and will visit these wonderful places as well. Overnight at the hotel.

The major appeal of Patan city is the Durbar Square which is enlisted in World Heritage List. It holds a lot of temples and a huge palace which has been transformed into a museum. Also you will visit the Krishna temple, the Golden temple and the Kumbheswor temple. Then after, we will drive to Godavari. There we will check into the hotel. And after relaxing for some time we will go for bird watching trip in Godavari Botanical Garden. We will see birds like babblers, tits, warblers, thrushes, woodpeckers, minivets, eagles, racket-tailed drongo, the spotted fork tail, Tibetan siskin and number if other migrant birds. Godavari records more than 100 types of birds. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, on this day we will leave Godavari carrying a lunch pack and trek up to the Phulchowki Hill. We will have a full day bird watching and spot Mountain Hawk-Eagle, Common Hill Partridge, Kalij Pheasant, Ashy Woodpigeon, Mountain Scops Owl, Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon, Golden-throated Barbet, Collared Owlet etc. In the evening, we will return back to Kathmandu.

We will today go for bird watching in Nagarjuna Forest. You will see Laughing Thrush, little Pied Fly Catchers, Crested Serpent Eagle, Rupy-throats, Babblers etc. Then we will walk to Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. Then we will return back to Kathmandu.

We will on this day drive to Chitwan National Park which is 160km away from Kathmandu. And it takes around 4 hours to reach there. Upon arrival in Chitwan, we will check into the resort or hotel. In the afternoon, after relaxing for some time we can have a short visit to Tharu Village. In the evening you can enjoy the Tharu dance as well. Overnight at hotel or resort.

Today, early in the morning, we can go for bird-watching tour. Purple Swamphen, Heron, Darter, Black Stork, Lesser, Bengal Floricans, Grey Headed etc are some birds you can spot here. You may also go to see elephant bath and get pleasure from the canoe ride. Overnight at Chitwan National Park.

Today we will drive to Kathmandu via Hetauda and Palung. The trail through Trivuwan rajpath where a dense jungle and can see some birds as well

On this day,  you will leave Kathmandu to your own country.
